The Western Boone Lady Stars finished their season on Saturday competing at Sectionals by placing 6th out of 12 teams.
There were lifetime best swims across the board for the girls. Most notably, Regan Gubera will be moving on to regionals with her spectacular performance in the 11 dive meet. She set a new school record with a score of 392.75. Jenna Mahin will also move on as she finished 3rd.
The 200 medley relay team of Hannah Long, Erin Aliff, MaKenna Steimel and Molly Himes placed 8th. In the 200 freestyle, Steimel took 10th and Emily Richardson was 14th. Lauren Jones was 4th and Erin Aliff was 12th in the 200 IM. Ella Jones was 8th in the 50 free. Lauren Jones took 3rd in the 100 butterfly while Ella Jones also placed 8th in the 100 freestyle. In the 500 free, Richardson was 12th and Aliff 14th. The 200 free relay team of Jones, Himes, Gubera and Jones took 5th. Hannah Long was 13th in the 100 backstroke. Gubera capped off her performance with an 8th place finish in the 100 breaststroke. The final event, the 400 relay team of Jones, Steimel, Gubera and Jones took 5th.
Regan and Jenna will dive off at Regionals tomorrow night at Brownsburg High School at 6:00 pm.
