Girls 7th Grade Basketball, Girls 8th Grade Basketball · Lady Stars split with the Clinton Central

The Lady Stars 7th grade basketball team hosted the Clinton Central Lady Bulldogs on Wednesday evening, and had a hard time early matching the Bulldogs’ size and shooting accuracy. The Stars fell behind early and were never able to catch back up, losing 55-11. The Stars’ scoring efforts were led by Alayna Christner and Stefanie Dickerson, who finished with 4 points apiece, Cheyenne Isenhower with 2 and Grace Miller with 1.  Caitlin Pierce led the Stars with 3 rebounds.

The 8th grade Lady Stars hosted Clinton Central tonight. After a slow first half, the game was tied 10 all at halftime. The Lady Stars came out with an explosive 2nd half to conquer the Lady Bulldogs 30-12. Leading the way for the Stars was Emmy Roys with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Emily Conyer and Macy Woodrum had 7 and 6 points respectively. Katheryn Rutherford also contributed in a major way with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.

The Lady Stars will be back in action tonight as they will travel to Clinton Prairie. Game time will be at 6:00 pm.
