Boys 7th Grade Basketball, Boys 8th Grade Basketball · Stars split against the Warriors


The 7th grade boys’ basketball teams lost two games to Danville last night. The A-team fell 51-30. The Stars never gave up but couldn’t get their shots to fall. Cannon Brunes led the Stars with 20 points with Bryce Kopriva and Drew Gott scoring 5 points each.

The B-team also had trouble getting shots to fall as they lost 39-18. Carter Hanna and Nathan Reid led the Stars with 7 and 5 points respectfully.

The 7th grade Stars travel to Rossville this Thursday to take on the Hornets starting at 6:00 pm.

The 8th Grade Stars used an impressive defensive effort to defeat Danville 37-18. Marcus Stepp led the way offensively with 22 points. Blake Miller controlled the glass all night.

The B-team pulled out a close victory by a score of 28-27. Eli Nicely led the way with 14 points. Johnathan Linville hit an important 3 pointer followed by a clutch steal to help secure the win down the stretch.

The Stars are back in action, January 17, against Southmont in the Sagamore Conference Tournament at Northridge MS starting at 6:00 pm.
