Girls Junior Varsity Basketball, Girls Varsity Basketball · Girl’s Basketball in action over break


The girl’s basketball team traveled on the 27th and 28th to Vincennes University to play in the Niehaus Classic. For the first round of the tournament on Thursday afternoon, the Lady Stars faced Whiteland and fell to the Warriors with a score of 52-61. Later that evening, the Lady Stars faced L.C.C and fell to the Knights with a score of 44-60. On Friday afternoon, the Lady Stars played the final game of the tournament to battle for 7th place out of 8 teams. The Lady Stars faced Terre Haute South Vigo and came out on top with a score of 62-48. The Lady Stars overall record is 9-7.
The Lady Stars were back in action on Saturday, January 5th, to face the Clinton Prairie Gophers. The JV lady stars fell to the Gophers with a score of 29-40, bringing their record to 1-13. The Varsity Lady Stars battled hard and came out on top with a of 61-51, bringing their record to 10-7. The Varistiy Lady Stars were led by Madison Jones who had 32 points, followed by Kara Brewer who had 10, Lauryn Florey who had 9 points and Tori Wilkinson who had 7 points.
The Lady Stars will be in action tomorrow night as they host the Crawfordsville Athenians starting at 6:00 pm for a JV/V double header.
