The girls race included Western Boone winning (32 points),  the Athenians in second (44 points) and closely followed by Tri-West (46 points).

The Western Boone boys had a good showing, despite not having their number one runner participating and almost all new runners this season. Lane Hardee and Wyatt Barnett both started their first ever cross country meet with great results – Hardee finished 2nd overall (12:41) & Barnett had a strong 4th place finish (13:12). Other good finishes for their very first meet ever were Jack Kinsel (24th), Collin Wahburn (28th) & Lincoln Rose (36th).

With 6 WeBo runners in the top 15 places, the Lady Stars gave impressive performances as they accomplished their first win of the season as a team. Katheryn Rutherford went out hard and finished in 2nd with a time of 13:01. With a surprise for two beginners, 6th grader Raegan Durbin came in 5th (14:46) & 8th grader Emma Mitchell was 7th overall (14:52). Returning runners Samantha Jones, Hannah Haag, and Emily Parsons all gave powerful showings, finishing 9th, 14th & 15th, respectively. Other solid finishes were seen by Bailey Haag (25th), Rose Rogers (29th), Katherine Mateika (42nd) and Adele Crockett (44th).
