Girls Junior Varsity Softball, Girls Varsity Softball · Lady Stars’ early start too much for the Gophers

The Lady Stars softball team won their 10th game out of the last 12 last night, improving their record to 12 and 6 on the season against the Lady Gophers of Clinton Prairie with a score of 3-1.  The Lady Stars started early with back to back to back singles by Alayna Raby, Hillary Reed and Briley Burns followed by three ground ball put outs providing 3 runs in the 1st inning.  The 3 runs in the 1st inning were all they needed as Hannah Redlin pitched well recording 14 of the 21 outs by strikeout. Redlin gets the win allowing 1 run on 3 hits with 1 walk and 14 strikeouts(one short of the school record). The Lady Stars were led at the plate by Molly Crawford going 2 for 2 on the evening.

The Lady Stars travel to Lizton this evening for an important conference matchup against the Tri-West Bruins starting at 5 pm.

The JV Lady Stars were also in action last night as they took on Clinton Prairie. The Lady Stars fell to the Lady Gophers 19-7. They will also be in action tonight against Tri-West.
