Girls Junior Varsity Softball, Girls Varsity Softball · Lady Stars Sweep the Athenians


The Lady Stars softball team got back on track last night with an 8-2 conference win at Crawfordsville.  The Lady Stars put a run on board in the 1st and 3rd innings before plating 4 runs in the 4th inning to break things open and adding two more in the 6th to cap the scoring for the Lady Stars.  Hannah Redlin gets the win going 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out 2 batters.  The Stars recorded 10 hits on the evening with Briley Burns (4/4), Lindsay Savage (2/2) and Alayna Raby (2/3) recording multiple hits along the way.  The Lady Stars also stole six bases led by Hillary Reed and Alayna Raby with 2 apiece.

The Lady Stars are back in action tonight as they take on Clinton Central at home to begin a very busy 5 game in 4 days home stand which will be capped with a double header on Saturday Apirl 21st when the Lady Stars will host the Lady Chargers of North Montgomery as part of their annual youth day.

Come out and support the Lady Stars that day and get an autographed team picture to commemorate the event.

The JV softball team got their first win of the season last night beating the Crawfordsville Athenians 17-4.  The Lady Stars offense was impressive recording 14 hits on the evening.  Mackenzie Covington gets the win going 5 innings allowing 4 runs while striking out 3.

The JV Stars will be back in action at home against the Athenians Thursday April 19th.
