The 6th grade boys basketball teams traveled to Clinton Central Wednesday night. Both A and B teams were victories over Clinton Central.
The A team beat Clinton Central 44-30, giving them a record of 6-2 on the season. This was a hard fought battle and a great team effort. The Stars only led by 3 points at halftime but came out strong to outscore the Bulldogs 26-15 in the second half. Leading the Stars was Cannon Brunes with 16 points followed by Bryce Kopriva with 14 points and Josiah Kallevig with 6 points.
The B team beat Clinton Central 40-6, giving them a record of 6-2 on the season. The Stars came out strong and didn’t look back. At halftime the Stars had held Clinton Central scoreless. 9 players on the B team all contributed points. The leading scorer was Graham Cavins and Jack Kinsel with 8 points a piece followed by Carter Hanna and Philip Talbot with 6 points each.
The Stars travel to Lebanon next Wednesday to take on the Tigers starting at 6 pm.
