Boys 6th Grade Basketball · 6th Basketball Sweeps the Gophers


The 6th grade boy’s basketball teams were in action Tuesday night.
Both the A & B teams had defeated the Gophers.
The A team earned their 5th win on the season beating Clinton Prairie 34-18, giving them a record of 5-2. The Stars started a little slow leading the Gophers at halftime 15-6.  Coming out in the 3rd quarter, the Stars dominated and scored 15 points and held the Gophers to only scoring 1 point.  This was a great team victory with everyone on the team contributing.  Cannon Brunes was the leading scorer with 10, followed by Josiah Kallevig with 9 and Jackson Grimes with 5.
The B team also earned their 5th win on the season winning 21-12, giving them a record of 5-2.  The Stars started strong with a score of 8-0 at the end of the first quarter and only allowing the Gophers to score 6 points at halftime. Carter Hanna was the leading scorer with 7, followed by Nathan Reid and Cole Wiley both with 4 points each.
The Stars next game is 6:00pm tonight at Clinton Central.
