The Western Boone Stars Girls Tennis team was defeated 5-0 Wednesday by a strong North Montgomery team. It was only the Stars’ third loss of the season and first in conference.
1S Maggie Klingensmith vs Kenzie Neal: 1-6, 1-6
2S Katie Collins vs Jennifer Guard: 1-6, 2-6
3S Addy Zimpleman vs Megan Merica: 1-6, 4-6
1D Meg Kinslow/Kate Coffman vs Scout Groves/Mary Jackman: 2-6, 3-6
2D Talyn Guinn/Grace Kumler vs Lexi Thomas/Sydney Utterback: 3-6, 1-6
At JV, Aubrey Stewart, Cassidy Gillette, and Molly Kinsey all won matches.
The Stars are now 1-1 in conference and 7-3 overall. They will pick back up next Monday with another string of conference matches.
