| The Western Boone Girls XC team took 5th place this evening in the Charger Classic held at North Montgomery High School. The missed 4th place by a single point. There were 17 teams competing in the Classic, and Seeger took 1st place with a team score of 22. The Lady Stars managed to outrun all conference opponents in the meet that included North Montgomery, Crawfordsville, Lebanon, and Southmont. Alexis Goglia and Hannah Hayden each placed in the top 15 with 11th and 15th place finishes, respectively.The highlight of the evening was the setting of a new school record in the 5K with Alexis Goglia’s time of 21:56. This broke Madi Gourley’s previous record of 21:57, which was set last season. |
