Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The varsity girls tennis team lost a close match to Covington 2-3 Tuesday. 1S Jones and 2D Shepherd/Smith had outstanding wins, with the match coming down to 3S Steimel. Due to rain and a lightning delay, both teams agreed to play a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of a full third set. Steimel ended up coming up just short of victory but fought hard until the end. The varsity team is now 1-2. It was another good showing for the JV team who won all four of their matches to remain undefeated. The Stars will host Rossville Thursday at 5PM.
