JV Football Completes the Sweep

western boone vball

The junior varsity football team was in action Saturday morning against the Mounties. With the 7th and 8th grade plus the varsity team already knocking off the Mounties, the junior varsity tries to complete the sweep against Southmont. Like the varsity game Friday night, the defense played very well as they forced the Mounties to throw three interceptions. The game was tied 0-0 heading into overtime. The Stars won the coin toss and elected to play offense first. The Stars scored the go-ahead score with a QB sneak on 4th down by Brett Wethington. The Stars defense stayed dominant as they forced an interception by Sam Biggs to secure the Stars win.

The Stars will be back in action Saturday as they take on the Danville Warriors.
